Oil Landscapes & Acrylic Pour
Although I did not realize it, I began my love of art at an early age. My grandfather was an artist and I remember as a child, watching him paint and create. When I was 10 years old, he painted me a piece of art for Christmas. That piece hangs in my living room today, over 35 years later. Little did I know, that piece of art would inspire me to start creating my own artwork.
In 2018, I was struggling to find something to keep my mind occupied. Feeling a bit lost and uninspired, I randomly came across an ad for paint by number artwork. I purchased a couple, and suddenly the flood gates opened. Keeping my mind focused, while creating at the same time, set off a chain reaction in my soul.
I began modestly, doing paint by numbers, watching Bob Ross videos online. Learning as I went, I started to create my own work.
Trying new things, and learning new styles, absorbing methods like a sponge. A true self taught artist.
I now see art everywhere I go. A sunset, the leaves on a tree, the ridges of a mountain, even the architecture of a building.
From the haphazard of abstract art, to the refinement and precision of landscapes, Art has opened my eyes to so much more
